Current Projects

Recently the Fish Hoek Community Police Forum (Fish Hoek CPF) has focused on projects related to the safety and security of the members at our station. You can find more information on our past projects on our completed projects page.

As we start to wrap up these projects we are now looking at projects that will benefit the broader community.

The Fish Hoek CPF generates a small income monthly via the Western Cape Governments Extended Partnership Program. On average with all the meetings, station visits and engagements we need to take part in, along with compiling all the information in to a report for the WC Government, we generate on average R2000 per month. This obviously doesn’t get us very far which is why we have created a secure online e-commerce platform to allow the community to donate towards the costs of our projects.

Below are the big projects that we currently need funding assistance for.

Drug Awareness Workshop

Drug Awareness WorkshopThe Fish Hoek CPF has a Safe Schools portfolio whose mandate is to work in partnership with the South African Police Service (SAPS), Safe School Committees, local Councillors and other role players.

The team’s next initiative is to hold a drug awareness workshop for parents, educators, neighbourhood watches and any other interested parties. This workshop is strictly for persons over the age of 18.

As parents and educators we can play a critical role in helping kids stay drug and alcohol free. Parents and teachers can be role models for students and help dissuade them from substance abuse.

This becomes more important when young people do not have supportive families to guide them. The workshop will include videos and images.

The costs for the guest speakers for the upcoming workshop on the 20 June 2018 is R3250. The hall has been kindly sponsored by Fish Hoek High School.

If you would like to donate towards this project please choose Drug Awareness Workshops when adding the donation to your cart.

Community Service Centre (CSC) and Holding Area Maintenance

The community service centre (CSC), formerly known as the Charge Office, is in desperate need of a face lift. It goes without saying that your work environment has a big impact on your motivation and drive. With this in mind, the Fish Hoek CPF has undertaken to give the CSC a fresh lick of paint and fix some of the other issues that have been brought to light.

If you would like to donate towards this project, please choose CSC Maintenance when adding the donation to your cart.

If you would prefer to donate materials then please get contact us via our contact us page so that we can organise a suitable time for you to drop off your donation. Please do not deliver your donation directly to the station. Materials should be given directly to the Fish Hoek CPF.
